Prior to joining Ankura, Gyusub managed a turnaround program at a KKR portfolio company headquartered in Sweden. Prior to that, he worked at a global accounting firm’s corporate finance practice in London.

Gyusub is a Spanish national and is fluent in Spanish and Korean.

• Managed a turnaround program at a KKR portfolio company with over 20 business units across Europe, Asia, and Russia. Led efforts to improve the company’s operations, streamline process, and drive growth, including organizational rightsizing, post-acquisition 100-day plan, pricing optimization, and five-year strategic planning.
• Advised a potential equity investor during the recapitalization of a Big 5 Greek bank. Assisted in structuring various components of the transaction under multiple scenarios to ensure a favorable outcome for the client.
• Advised a leading UK coffee shop chain on phasing strategy of its plan to rollout redesigned store formats across 1,000 branches.
• Reviewed a global apparel company’s plan to relocate production from China to the U.S. and its implication on additional working capital requirements.
• Supported building business plan of a global retail company as part of refinancing its €0.5 billion indebtedness.
• Advised the management of a UK-based transport and logistics company during the management buyout. Work included reviewing the business plan including future M&A opportunities and building a financial model for operational use.
