Jeff O'Brien

Jeff has over 13 years of professional experience in advisory services and public accounting. For the past nine years, he has led several hundred financial due diligence engagements, representing both private equity and strategic investors. During that time, he has advised private and public companies operating in various healthcare segments, software/SaaS, professional services, food and beverage, and manufacturing and distribution transactions.

For the past five years, Jeff’s focus has primarily been in healthcare, including physician practices, hospital systems, ambulatory surgical centers, home health, senior living facilities, urgent care centers, physical therapy practices, and behavioral health.

In addition to financial due-diligence offerings, Jeff provides insights to clients on structuring purchase agreements, compensation arrangements, and other deal mechanics used in executive decision making.

Jeff’s recent experience includes:

• Led buy-side financial due diligence work for nearly 100 individual partnership transactions across four years for a national oral surgery practice. Additionally, Jeff led the sell-side financial due diligence processes for the company’s recapitalization and subsequent sale to a private equity sponsor.
• Led buy-side financial due diligence work for nearly 100 add-on transactions over five years for a highly acquisitive optometry practice operator. As a trusted advisor, Jeff helped the Client refine target offerings, including pre-acquisition valuations, purchase price payout mechanics, and post-transaction compensation structuring.
• Successfully led the sell-side financial due diligence work for a muti-state urgent care operator. This process involved multiple carve out transactions.
• Led sell-side financial due diligence for an early-stage national oral surgery MSO seeking private equity investment.
